About Carbon Fiber Wedding Rings
Carbon Fiber
The Story: Lashbrook Carbon Fiber rings utilize structural, solid Carbon Fiber and are made entirely in the USA. Lashbrook's carbon fiber is produced by one of their partner manufacturers whose products can be found in high-tech applications varying from Formula 1 racing and aerospace engineering to competitive cycling.
Carbon Fiber has one of the highest strength-to-weight of any product every created. The raw material used to make Carbon Fiber is a mix of compounds, mostly consisting of carbon ring organic polymers. This material is drawn into long strands, or fibers, and then heated in a controlled environment. The heat causes the atoms in the fibers to vibrate violently until most of the non-carbon atoms are expelled. The material left after the heating process is composed of thin, tightly wound carbon strands which are then processed through stabilization, spinning and weaving. The final product uses resin to bind the composite.
General Information: Lashbrook's Carbon Fiber is prduced in thin tubes which are then cut into narrow slices and mounted in the rings. This process allows for the entire Carbon Fiber inlay to be set into the piece without cutting or modifying the structure of the carbon Fiber. This method of inlaying real pieces of Carbon Fiber sets Lashbrook apart in the industry.
Carbon Fiber rings are lightweight, strong and durable, making special care unnecessary. They can be cleaned by steam, ultrasonic, or jewelry cleaner. The rings can be factory refurbished at any time. Like any ring, they will show normal wear and tear overtime.
